Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hung Studios ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the RepPlanr mobile app and repplanr.com (together, the "Service"). We built RepPlanr to keep your data yours: most features work offline, and you can export everything you log at any time.
Information we collect
Account information
You can start using RepPlanr without creating an account — a private anonymous profile is created on your device so you can begin immediately. If you choose to create or link an account, we collect your email address and, where you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier those providers return. If you sign in with Apple using Hide My Email, we only receive the relay address Apple provides.
Workout and training data
The core of the Service is the data you enter: exercises, sets, reps, weights, routines, rest times, personal records, and notes. This is stored locally on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to our backend so it is available across your devices.
Health data (only if you enable it)
If you connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect, RepPlanr may, with your explicit permission:
- Read your body weight, to size the volume of bodyweight exercises such as pull-ups and to keep your profile weight current without you retyping it.
- Write your completed RepPlanr workouts back to Apple Health / Health Connect.
Those two are the only permissions RepPlanr requests, and health data is used only to provide these features. We do not read your step count, your heart rate, or workouts recorded by other apps, and we do not write an energy estimate. You can revoke Health access at any time in your device settings, and health permissions are never required to use the app.
Subscription information
Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store (or Google Play) and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and related purchase events. We never receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled by the app store.
Usage and diagnostics
We use PostHog for privacy-conscious product analytics (which features are used, in aggregate) and Sentry for crash and error reporting. Notably, the text of questions you ask the in-app "Ask" feature is deliberately never sent to analytics or error monitoring — only a broad category label such as "volume" or "progression." Analytics events are tolerant of being offline and are sent when you reconnect. Like most such services, PostHog derives an approximate location (country or region level) from the IP address your requests arrive on; we do not collect precise location, and RepPlanr never asks for location permission.
Website analytics
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic in aggregate. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party cookies. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours — it cannot be used to build a profile of you, to follow you across other websites, or to identify you. We see only aggregated figures: which pages were viewed, the referring site, country, device type, operating system and browser.
How we use information
- To provide, sync, and back up your workout data across your devices.
- To generate the insights you request — strength, volume, consistency, and, for Pro subscribers, the AI "Ask," weekly reports, muscle-balance analysis, and progression suggestions. These are generated from your own logged data.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
- To send service messages and, if you opt in, product news.
AI features
RepPlanr Pro features that interpret your training send the relevant portions of your own logged data — never your name, email address, or account credentials — from our backend functions to Anthropic, which provides the language models behind them. They are designed to be grounded in your data and to say when the data cannot support an answer, rather than to generate generic advice. Your data is not used to train Anthropic's or any other third party's foundation models.
How information is stored and shared
Your synced data is stored using Supabase (Postgres). We share information only with the service providers that make RepPlanr work — for example Supabase (hosting and database), RevenueCat (subscription management), the Apple/Google app stores (billing), Anthropic (the language models behind the AI features), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and Vercel (website hosting and website analytics) — and only as needed to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices and rights
- Export: Export everything you have logged as CSV or JSON, at any time, from within the app — no account required.
- Access and deletion: You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us. Deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device.
- Health & permissions: Manage Health, notification, and tracking permissions in your device settings.
- Marketing: Opt out of product news at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send (or in the app's settings).
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those rights; contact us to exercise them.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
Children
RepPlanr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
